(A) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to violate, or cause the violation of, any provision of this chapter. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of the requirements of this chapter shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor, punishable pursuant to SLCC 1.05.990.

(B) It is a defense to prosecution under SLCC 5.20.040 that each item of descriptive, printed, film, or video material offered for sale or rental, taken as a whole, contains serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.
